HOT... HOT .... AND MORE HOT.

Well Texas summer is now upon us. It is just the first of June and by 930am out side is pushing 85 degrees.

I love the sounds and sights and contrast of  a summer.
Lawn mowers.. and the smell of fresh cut grass.
Water sprinkler first this in the morning light and the smell of water and earth together.
Your water bill to keep it pretty green
Being thankful that it is only 80 degrees in the morning because in in about 2hours or less is will be 100.
Sweating at 730 in the morning just walking outside.
Cute summer clothes and flip flops.
Sounds of kids playing in the evening outside, because evening light last until 930.
The blast of super heated air of your car that has been sitting in a parking lot for maybe 30 mins
A warm summer breeze.
People enjoy water parks.
The wonderful summer sun burn.
Runner and bikers in the evening during the "cool" of the day
Working out in the heat and it is 800pm in the evening and it is still really hot.
Texas summer flower that thrive in the summer heat.
The brown of the lay of the land as you start to head into the July and August.
The sound of sun screamer in the heat of the day.
The summer thunder storm.
The "i cant breath" because of the storms humidity and the natural sauna that you get after the summer storm
Kids out of school for the summer
The "mom, I am so board out of my mind" ... and it is only 2 weeks since school has been out.

ps: To workout,  you have to be really smart about it. you either need to bring it inside.... or wait till it is cooler in evening....or if you are one of the crazy people, you can get up before the sun comes up workout. Just have to be smart and drink plenty of fluids and listen to your body. ....

What a difference that a year make. hard work dose pay off ... even if you dont see it till a year later in a picture of almost the same pose.

staying in motion.

Not have the time to train the why that I think that I should. I think that this has been one of the biggest things to over come this motion year.
Sometimes I want to get on my pitty pot and whine about not having enough time,  if I cant on one day... just do it on the next day... no need to whine about it, just need to stay in motion.... I am preaching to my self here.
 This is Mays races  the Heels and Hills 10k 5/1/2011.... awesome... my 1st ever. finished it in 1hr 32mins. and the Fireman's 5K this is now my 3rd year for this event... wow 3 years now of in motion!!!

well as you saw in my last post that was over 2month ago ... i was going to be spending all my time with the Lady Falcons JV Softball team. And as you noticed I have not posted any new blog since the season began.
Well I am here now to tell you that in Falcon country the softball season is now DONE!!! Tonight was the last game.... whooop whoop.

Now don't get me wrong... I LOVE LOVE LOVE watching my youngest daughter play ball, but I have little time for anything else .... wake up, work, pick up from practice, wake up work , race to a game after work, go home relax for all of an hour, pick up at 930pm, ... you get the idea.... rinse, repeat... all week long.

After 2month this mama is ready for a break.

JV TCHS Lady Falcons

I am setting in the stands waching the Timber Creek JV Lady Falcons play ball.  This is what will be taking most of my Tuesdays, some Fridays and some Saturdays GO JV LADY FALCONS!!!!

I spend the better part of week last week trying to find rims that matched my cars rims. Did you know there are thousands and thousands of rims too see.

Now let us take a few steps back to Friday Feb 4th. I was T-boned by another drive .$4500 worth of damages.later. the car is in the shop waiting in line with other cars that didn't fair so well with the big ice storm. 

 Here is where the needle in a hay stack comes in. The insurance adjuster call me back a week later and says... because you have after mark rims. and they are not made any more. we can...........

 A.give you a check for $400 for the price on the one rim. or B. try to find a rim that closely matches the rim. I was like are you kidding me. Both of those ideas were crazy. If you cant find them how am I suppose to. So now I am thinking wow i get hit and I am out money on trying to find a set of 20" rims or go with option A. and drive on the spare till I can save the money up for a full set or B look like a stupid car with mismatched rims.

That is when the searching begins. Let me tell you I have NEVER looked at so many rims. It took me 3days and alot of web searches, but I found them!! Once I had the right name of the rims Veloche Rims. there were pages and pages of yahoo web search. I found the needle in the hay stack..... Veloche-Verzio 540 chrome rims!!!!!!!!! The same ones that they said they don't make or cant get any more... I found it.

WHOOO HOOOO!!! now I wont look like a dork or be out $1000  a set ( that is the low end) most set at are about $1600.  Oh Happy Day... the Needle is found.

Happy 5 years!!

This Valentine's Day my sweetheart and I celebrated 5yrs of wonderfulness together.
I know what you are thinking right now... really how corny Valentine's day wedding. Well not for me. I love Valentines Day. I know it is very commercial now.... but I am a hopeless romantic. So what better day to get married but on Valentines Day.
We have a what I thought marriage should be. Fun, silly, loving, respect, and support.
Am I saying that we always get along.
What would you think when two alpha personalities join in blissful holy matrimony. hehehe. We don't have fights... we have what we call ... that point is way more important to you and I respect that, and I don't have to win at this one. Also another great thing about us... is we both know when to leave each other to him/herself.... personal space time... which I think it very important in any relationship.  I love that our relationship is fun, silly and loving. Being able to have that so that yall can truly enjoy each uniqueness. Gene and I support each other unconditionally. I trust him and he trust me so that what ever is going on in our lifes, blended family or jobs that we support each other. So this year Gene and I decided that we would renew our contract with each other for another 5yrs... because it is just that good.
