I am starting to get ready for our trip down to the coast.

Things that need to be done....

1. Laundry( always never ending), then pack!

2. Get beach towels and 2 new lawn chairs, our beach buckets, and boogie boards and old blanket for the beach

3. Sunscreen needs to be packed.

4. Make out menu for the 5days, for 7ppl... piece of cake. Will do most of the shopping on the island.

5. Card, board games, books, and other non electronic devices.

6. Leave our cares behind!!!

I did it... I met one of my goals on my bike today. SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!
I was a muddy sweaty mess when I got done... but I DID IT!!!

This week was not the easiest week even though it was somewhat of a short week.
I am happy that it is over.

We start our vacation in 5 days... cant wait.... Port A here we come. We are going with our bestfriends Marcy and Hunter and their daughter Aubry. This is going to be awesome. We vacation great together.

Am doing lots of hair dye this weekend. I really should have been a stylist. Still thinking about going to school for that... It is something that I really love doing.

June 2010

June has come and gone.

What a scorching month.... 100 degree day were very common.
This has made working out a challenge... but i am getting in done... need to step it up a bit.


Renee and Laura went to church camp. Which left Gene and I on our own for a week.... did quite know what to do with all the freedom.

Had my first girlfriend road trip to Austin. That was awesome. That my 5K for the month. Keep Austin Weird. Lots of fun and I really think that it is going to be a yearly 5k for Marcy and Me.

The girls are pretty much doing there own thing.
Renee working... Trinity hanging with her friends .... Laura hanging with her friends... and I dont worry(least not to much) about James he is 21 ... LOL

All Ready?!?!

All ready?!?!

My oldest daughter Renee graduated from Central High School.

I cant believe how fast time flies by. It is 18 years now and just yesterday I was giving birth to my 1st baby girl.

I am so proud of her. She has worked very hard to get where she is. I close the book that I have had the privilege to write in for 18yrs.

It is now time for her to write the pages of her life.
May she fill her book with love, laughter and life!!!, Because that is what she has brought into my life.

well this may has been full of all kinds of things.
It started out the a awesome trip to Vegas, with our best friends. Once again had a blast!!! How can you not when the Homuths and Barbosa are together.
Prom .... for my daughter Renee. We spent the day getting ready.... I think that I missed my calling to me a hairdresser and makeup artist. My mom, my sister and Laura were all there helping Renee get ready.
Mothers day with my beautiful girls. Went to lunch and got a great camera!!! as any one that know me.....I have to have a camera with me at all times...hehehe.
Now the last 2 week of may have been spent going to end of the year school things...ie... dance, choir, solos, and and and and... lol.... but as a parent I really do love it and would not have it any other way.
Going my nephews Micheal Mans 1st Birthday... so much fun. He was such a cutie to wach open up presents.
The last weekend of May was .... lets see how much LaBrett had fit into one weekend....
saturday .... Fireman's 5K southside of Fort Worth, then Miss Lillybug 1st birthday party in The Colony, then Back home to go to Aubry's 13 birthday Party... Speed Zone in Dallas.. all the while Renee is watching my 2 nieces till Laura and I get home.
Sunday Graduation Sunday at Bethesda then home to play some more with the nieces before my brother and his wife come and get them.
Monday was date day for Gene and I ... time just to get by ourselves. LOVE THAT A LOT!!!
May has now turn to June!!! I wonder what this month has in store for me?!?!?!?

koman 5K

I have 2 days left till I walk for the Susan G. Koman 5K in Fort Worth.

I am walking for and with Peggy, my neighbor and friend(pictured here). She was recently diagnosised with breast cancer back in October 2009. She is currently in treatment now. She is not much older that me and has 3 kids and a wonderful husband.. that support her! She has the best attitude of any one I know that could be facing this. I am in awe of her and inspired by her.

This 5K means alot to me. It is not just me meeting my goal for the month but it is much bigger than that.

It is fighting breast cancer!!!

It is supporting and walking with a dear friend that is currently overcoming breast cancer!!!!

It is walking and bring us closer to a cure!!!!!

It is walking and remembering all those how fought and are now living whole in Heaven!!!!

Not only will I be walking with Peggy and some of her friends and coworkers(one of which is also overcoming breast cancer). Our Group Name is M&P's BreastFriends. My best friend Marcy will be walking with me. That means alot to me, because she didn't have to do this. She already met her goal this month with the Americas Run. This touched my heart more that she will know!!!

count down

It is now time to start the count down.... till we head to Vegas. We leave on April 30th at 730 in the morning.
When I say we .... I am talking about Gene, Me, Marcy and Hunter.

I am really excited about this trip. The last time that we all went was about 2 years ago. It was my first time to go and I love it. I am over the "shock" of it all this time. I want to see more of the city, more of the other attraction, the other hotels.
Now this is a work trip for Gene ... so while he is in class, we will be going exploring, Marcy, Hunter and myself will be taking in more of the sites, sounds, and smells of Vegas. We are going to have a CAR this time....YAY!!!!!!!! There is no stopping us. Not even sore feet because I learned the last time. So flats and flip flops are the way to go.

Marcy and I will be going shopping for a couple of new hot outfits and super cute flats. Then out to sushi after words.
